2022 UMass Intercampus Marine Science Research Symposium

Wednesday, March 23  from 9 am to 5 pm

Hosted by the SMAST Graduate Student Association, the Intercampus Marine Science (IMS) Research Symposium is an opportunity for all UMass IMS Program faculty, research staff, and students to share their current or proposed research, receive feedback, and build their CV.

This in-person event is free and is open to the public.

Call for posters, photos, & judges

Poster:

Posters will be presented in a casual interactive format during the poster sessions. Each poster presenter will also present a 3 to 5-minute “lightning talk” summarizing their poster. Awards will be provided for the best overall poster presentation and best lightning talk. The deadline to register to present a poster was Wednesday, March 16th.  Thank you to all the poster presenters who have registered!  We have an exciting line-up of posters in store! Photo contest:

Are you a marine science photographer, or just have some fun candid selfies?  Enter our photography contest!  Photos must pertain to marine science (field research, underwater photos, lab experiments, you or your friends conducting research, etc.). Please visit our photo contest page for more information on how to enter (and possibly win) the photo contest.

Call for poster judges:

We are seeking faculty, postdocs, and PhD students to serve as judges. If interested, please contact Neeharika Verma (nverma@umassd.edu), Lucy McGinnis (lmcginnis@umassd.edu), and Sid Kerhalkar (skerhalkar@umassd.edu). Awards will be provided for the best overall poster presentation and best lightning talk.
